Dickinson Co. Supervisors Adopt “RAGBRAI” Resolution

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson county board of supervisors Tuesday voted unanimously in favor of a resolution encouraging the legislature to pass a bill that would make counties immune to lawsuits stemming from accidents involving organized bicycle rides on county roads.

Counties throughout the state are being asked to adopt similar resolutions in light of a lawsuit in Crawford filed by the family of a RAGBRAI rider who’s bicycle tire hit a crack in a road, causing a crash.
