(Spirit Lake)– Senator-Elect Dave Rowley announced today (Monday) his candidacy for the new Iowa Senate District 5 in the November, 2022 election. Rowley, who’s from Spirit Lake, was elected in a special election for Senate District 1 on December 14th following the resignation of Zach Whiting and will be taking his oath of office January 10th. Rowley, an insurance agent, has lived in Spirit Lake for over 25 years. He is a former Dickinson County GOP chair and serves as president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Iowa. He and his wife Kris have four grown children.
