Some major street projects are about to get underway in Arnolds Park. City Administrator Ron Walker tells KUOO news the city council last week awarded a bid for improvements to Dam Road and Helms Drive. Walker says atleast one part of the project will be carried over to next spring, but they are hoping to minimize inconvenience to adjacent property owners as much as possible by doing the project in phases. The low bid of 960,699-dollars for a concrete option was awarded to Godberson-Smith of Ida Grove. The bid came in under the engineer’s estimate of slightly more than a million dollars.
