Crash On North Edge Of Milford Sends Two To Hospital

November 22, 2014

(Milford)– A two-vehicle crash Wednesday at the intersection of Highway 71 and Terrace Park Boulevard on the north edge of Milford sent two people to the hospital.

Milford police say 23-year-old Tera Myers of Arnolds Park was northbound on Highway 71 when she lost control, spun, crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming vehicle driven by 38-year-old Audrey Grover of Spencer.

The impact caused the vehicle driven by Myers to spin into the northwest ditch with the vehicle driven by Grover going into the southeast ditch.

Both drivers were taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare complaining of possible head and neck injuries. They were treated and released.

Three thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 1995 Oldsmobile driven by Grover and to a 1997 GMC pickup driven by Myers.

The Milford Police Department was assisted on the scene by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, Arnolds Park and Okoboji Police Departments, Lakes Regional Healthcare Ambulance and Milford Rescue.

Police say poor road conditions were a contributing factor in the collision.
