(Adrian, Mn.)– A cow sent a semi driver for quite a ride Thursday on Interstate 90 in southwest Minnesota.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 46-year-old Lawrence Davis, Junior of South Bend, Indiana was driving a semi tractor/trailer westbound two miles east of Adrian when he collided with a cow that was on the interstate.
Troopers say Davis then lost control. The big rig traveled through the median, crossed the eastbound lanes of the interstate, went into a ditch, traveled through a fence and finally came to rest in a soybean field.
Davis somehow escaped injury.
The 2006 Freightliner semi and a 2005 Great Dane trailer it was pulling sustained severe damage.
The mishap took place shortly before noon.
