Corn Belt Power To Receive $57 Million Loan

(Washington, D.C.)– Humboldt-based Corn Belt Power Cooperative will receive a 57,273,000-dollar loan from the U-S Department of Agriculture. That word from U-S Senator Tom Harkin, Chairman of the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee.

The power cooperative plans to use the loan to make improvements to generation and transmission facilities.

Funding for the loan was administered under the Electric Guaranteed Loan Program.

In our area Corn Belt Power Cooperative serves Buena Vista, Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Palo Alto and Pocahontas counties.
