Complaints, Arrests Keep Spencer Police Busy

(Spencer)– The past several days have been busy for the Spencer Police Department as officers investigated numerous complaints and made several arrests.

Police say a suspicious person complaint last Thursday led to the arrest of 36-year-old Phillip Aucoin, address unknown, for possession of a controlled substance…marijuana…and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into jail.

A Spencer woman was arrested Friday for public intoxication after an officer spotted her weaving as she was riding a bicycle across the Grand Avenue bridge.

26-year-old Ann Felicia was arrested for public intoxication and was booked into the Clay county jail.

Felicia was also wanted on warrants out of Clay and Plymouth counties.

Two female juveniles ages 15 and 16 from Spencer were charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a fight shortly after 10:00 p.m. Friday. The two were referred to juvenile authorities and turned over to their parents.

Police are investigating the theft of a 23-inch flat screen tv stolen from a tent at the Clay County Fairgrounds. Authorities say someone crawled under the tent sometime Thursday evening or early Friday and removed the t.v., valued at 775-dollars.

A traffic stop Saturday resulted in the arrest of a Royal woman who’s accused of give false information to an officer. 30-year-old Wendy Ahlrichs was charged with driving under suspension and interference with official acts. She was booked into jail.

Spencer police are investigating several vehicle break-ins that were reported Saturday in the 500 block of West 18th Street…near the Clay County Fairgrounds. Authorities say atleast three vehicles had been broken into with various items reported missing. Police say windows were broken out of atleast two of the vehicles.
