(Estherville)– Estherville residents will have an opportunity to offer their ideas for improving the community at a workshop to be held this Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Estherville Chamber and again Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Estherville Public Library Community Room.
The event is being put on by the Estherville Visioning Committee.
Organizers say it’s the culmination of an input-gathering process to identify transportation needs and opportunities on ways to enhance Estherville.
Information collected at the workshops along with results of other public input events will be incorporated into a conceptual transportation and landscape enhancement plan.
The first workshop on Friday will deal with a visual quality assessment. Residents will be asked to take digital photos of good views and bad views of Estherville.
The second day of the workshop will feature a visit with the landscape architect about design ideas. It will conclude with a reception and review of the preliminary designs created during the workshop. The reception will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at the library.
