Collision Involving A Semi And A Pickup Sends Several People To The Hospital

(Heron Lake, Mn.)– Several people were injured early this (Mon.) morning in a collision involving a semi and a pickup on Highway 60 at the intersection with Jackson County Road 24 near Heron Lake.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a 17-year-old female, who’s name wasn’t released, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado pulling a trailer and 45-year-old Kevin Bates of Le Mars was driving a 2019 Keworth semi. Troopers say both vehicles were eastbound on Highway 60 when the collision occurred.

Bates was taken to the Windom hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Two passengers in the pickup also sustained non-life threatening injuries and were taken to the Windom hospital as well.

The collision took place around 1:40 am.
