(Spencer)– A traffic stop early Saturday in Clay county resulted in charges against three people.
The Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle in the 10 block of West First Street in Spencer shortly before 12:30 a.m. Saturday and discovered three occupants in the vehicle had open containers of alcohol.
A subsequent search turned up what’s alleged to be a large amount of marijuana, cash and items used to weigh and distribute marijuana.
The driver, 19-year-old Joel Alexander Eli Miller, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver; violation of a drug tax stamp; operating while intoxicated…first offense; possession of alcohol by a person under 21; and open container.
A passenger, 20-year-old David Salcido, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver; violation of a drug tax stamp; possession of alcohol by a person under 21; and open container.
Another passenger, 21-year-old Andrew Purcell, was charged with providing alcohol to minors and open container.
