Clay County Traffic Stop Results In Charges Against Two Teens

(Spencer)– A traffic stop Tuesday in Clay county resulted in the arrests of two teens.

The Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle in the 2900 mile of Highway 18 and observed a green leafy substance in it. A subsequent search turned up marijuana, drug paraphernalia and several tobacco products.

18-year-old Navaeh Armstrong of Estherville was booked into jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance…marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding and minor in possession of tobacco.

A 17-year-old female juvenile from Milford was cited into magistrate court for minor in possession of tobacco and was cited into juvenile court for possession of a controlled substance…marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released to the custody of a parent.
