Clay County Traffic Stop Results In Arrest Of Minnesota Man

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A traffic stop Thursday on Highway 18 in Clay county resulted in the arrest of a Minnesota man on drug charges.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle shortly after 3:00 a.m. for a minor traffic violation.

During the stop the deputy was advised the driver, 46-year-old Kevin Daufelt of Richfield, Minnesota, was wanted out of Ellsworth, Wisconsin.

A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up a small amount of what’s alleged to be marijuana.

Daufelt was booked into the Clay county jail where he was held on a no-bond warrant for Wisconsin.

He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance…a serious misdemeanor.
