(Royal)– A rural Royal woman sustained minor injuries in a mishap Tuesday on Clay County Road M38 a quarter-of-a-mile south of 270th Street.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 20-year-old Nichole Poncy was northbound when she lost control on the icy road. The 2001 Pontiac Grand Am she was driving went into the east ditch and struck a tree.
It wasn’t certain if Poncy sought immediate treatment of her injuries.
The vehicle was totalled.
The mishap took place shortly after 8:00 a.m.
