(Spencer)– Eight area young ladies will vie for the title of Clay County Fair Queen next month.
The candidates include 15-year-old Sara Edwardson of Spencer, daughter of Jeff and Lori Edwardson; 17-year-old Felicia Essick of Dickens, daughter of Nancy Salton; 16-year-old Shante Foote of Spencer, daughter of Phil and Natasha Carlson; 17-year-old Monica Harmon of Spencer, daughter of Scott and Kelli Harmon; 17-year-old Mandy Maurer of Royal, daughter of Jeff and Lori Maurer; 17-year-old Caitlin Patten of Webb, daughter of Doug and Carol Patten; 16-year-old Elizabeth Taylor of Spencer, daughter of Steve and Lori Taylor; and 19-year-old Jennifer Vanderhoff of Marathon, daughter of Brian and Patty Vanderhoff.
The competition will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 13th at the Clay County Regional Events Center.
Candidates will be judged on personality, attitude and awareness, leadership and citizenship, contribution to the community, overall appearance, charm, poise and self-expression.
