(Spencer)– The Clay County Fair announced Tuesday country star Gretchen Wilson will be one of its headliner acts in front of the grandstand at this year’s fair.
Wilson will perform the opening Saturday of the fair, September 8th.
Wilson has won multiple female vocalist of the year awards, having exploded onto the country scene in 2004. Her debut single “Redneck Woman” was the fastest song to reach number one on the country charts and remained in that position six consecutive weeks.
When it comes to ticket sales, June 22nd is the first day for postmarks on ticket orders by mail. Orders by phone will be accepted beginning July 16th. July 23rd is the first day to purchase tickets at the box office.
The 2007 Clay County Fair is being dubbed “The Greatest is here for the 90th Year”.
The fair will run September 8th through the 16th.
