(Gillett Grove) (Updated from a previous story)– An Albert City woman has now died of injuries sustained in a single vehicle crash this past Thursday in Clay county.
The Iowa State Patrol says 82-year-old Bonnie Falkena was northbound on Clay County Road M-54 when she lost control of a 2016 Chrysler Town and Country. The vehicle left the road, went into a ditch, and collided with a tree.
Falkena was taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital. She was later transferred to a Sioux Falls hospital where she died of her injuries Saturday.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Spencer Ambulance and fire departments from Dickens and Webb assisted on the scene.
The crash took place a little after 10:30 am.
