Clay County Collision Results In Possible Injuries

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– Possible injuries were reported in a collision earlier this week involving a car and truck in Clay county.

The Sheriff’s Office says 51-year-old Vernon Vantilburg of Doon was southbound on County Road M50 at the intersection with Highway 18 when he pulled into the path of 29-year-old Lanishia Guider of Spencer who was westbound on Highway 18.

Guider sustained possible injuries, but apparently didn’t seek immediate treatment. No injuries were reported to Vantilburg.

3,500-dollars in damage was estimated to a 2001 Dodge truck driven by Vantilburg and to a 1989 Buick driven by Guider.

Vantilburg was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.

The collision took place shortly after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
