(Spencer)– Clay county authorities are investigating burglaries over the weekend at bars in Greenville and Peterson.
The Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to the Harvest Moon Bar and Grill in Greenville and Calamity Janes…a bar-restaurant in Peterson.
It’s believed the establishments were broken into sometime after they closed at 2:00 a.m. Saturday. The reports were received shortly after 8:00 a.m. Saturday.
Authorities say entry to the businesses was gained by forcing open doors.
Once inside perpetrators broke into gaming machines and removed money.
