Clay Co Rollover Results In Minor Injuries; Charges Against Driver

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A single-vehicle rollover Friday in Clay county resulted in minor injuries to two people.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 38-year-old John Sindt of rural Everly was driving a 2002 Dodge Intrepid at a high rate of speed through the intersection of 330th Street and 165th Avenue when he lost control.

The vehicle rolled once, coming to rest on its top in the north ditch.

Sindt and a passenger, Suzie Sindt, were taken to Spencer Hospital where they were treated for cuts and bruises and released.

John Sindt was then arrested and charged with driving under the influence and failure to maintain control.

The vehicle was totaled.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Spencer Emergency Response and Everly Fire and Rescue.

The crash took place around 8:45 p.m. Friday.
