Clay Co. Crash Results In Minor Injuries

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– Charges have been filed in connection with a single-vehicle crash over the weekend in Clay county that resulted in minor injuries to a Terril woman.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 31-year-old Leslie Ann Marie Adams of Terril was westbound on County Road B17 when she became distracted and lost control of a 2002 Jeep Liberty. The vehicle crossed the roadway and went into the south ditch, coming to rest mostly facing south.

Authorities say another person, Travis Hayenga, allegedly moved the vehicle about a quarter of a mile east in the ditch.

Adams was cited for failure to maintain control; Hayenga was cited for an expired driver’s license.

Authorities say Adams sustained minor injuries but wasn’t taken to a hospital.

No injuries were reported to Hayenga.

Five thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the vehicle.

The crash took place around 9:00 a.m. Saturday.
