(Spencer)– The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says deputies broke up an underage drinking party early last Thursday after discovering lights on at a county maintenance shed at 300 East Park Street in Spencer shortly after 2:00 a.m.
Deputies say two people were seen in the area upon their arrival. They took off running west. Deputies and Spencer police checked that area and found an underage party going on.
Six area juveniles were charged with possession of alcohol under the legal age and released to parents or guardians.
Two of the six also face charges of interference with official acts for allegedly running and hiding from officers.
