City Of Estherville Will Suspend Recycling Pick Up Tuesday, Feb. 22nd

February 17, 2022 Steve Schwaller

(Estherville)– Siting a shortage of manpower, city officials in Estherville have announced there will be no recycling pick up this coming Tuesday, February 22nd. They say two factors are behind it: the observance of Presidents Day on Monday and the forecast for measurable snow on Tuesday. In a press release, City Administrator Penny Clayton says city crews would not be able to manage snow removal operations, along with the Monday and Tuesday collection of solid waste, in addition to recycling pick up. Clayton says the city apologizes for the unexpected change, adding “snow removal operations are of utmost importance for everyone’s safety.”

Recycling collection in Estherville will resume the week of February 28th.
