Charges Filed In Osceola Co. Hog Confinement Break-In

November 22, 2014

(Sibley)– Charges have been filed against two Hartley men in connection with a break-in that occurred October 11th of this year at a hog confinement in rural Osceola county.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says 21-year-old Duane William Wiggins and 22-year-old Dustin Shawn Brown both of Hartley were charged Monday with burglary in the third degree…a class “D” felony; and theft in the fifth degree…a simple misdemeanor.

The two men are accused of removing property valued under two-hundred dollars from the confinement.

In addition, Brown was charged with a second count of burglary in the third degree and theft in the fourth degree…a serious misdemeanor. Authorities say those charges stem from October 8th of this year when a machine shed was broken into in rural Osceola county and property valued at more than 250-dollars was removed.
