(Worthington, Mn.)– Authorities in Worthington have now filed felony charges against a 17-year-old boy in the case of a missing 17-year-old girl.
Police say Lindey Lease was found safe in West Des Moines late Monday night. She was later reunited with her parents.
Police say Lindsey was found in the company of the 17-year-old boy. The juvenile charges were filed against him Tuesday include violating a restraining order and deprivation of parental rights.
Worthington Police Chief Mike Cumiskey says the girl suffered no apparent physical injuries, but that the circumstances surrounding her disappearance are still unclear. The investigation is continuing.
Nobles County Attorney Gordon Moore is seeking to certify the boy as an adult.
