(Spencer)– The deadline to apply for funding through the Clay County Community Grant Foundation is quickly approaching.
Those interested have until Monday, January 15th to get their applications submitted.
Non-profit organizations and local governmental entities are eligible to submit applications for projects that positively impact the quality of life in Clay county. That can include things such as art and culture, economic development, education, environment, health and human services, recreation and other high-impact community opportunities.
In it’s first year in 2006, the foundation awarded 18 programs and projects 46,746-dollars.
The foundation this year expects to award nearly 50-thousand dollars.
Grant applications may be picked up at the Clay County Extension Office, Clay County Auditor’s Office or at any library or city hall in Clay county.
