A job fair is on tap Wednesday in Estherville. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
(Estherville)-Fillenwarth Beach is presenting the 1st Annual Job Fair at Estherville Lincoln Central High School on March 23.
Spokesperson Rachel Fandel says the event will be open to students as well as the general public. “There will be several businesses that will join in the high school gymnasium, and the event will be held from noon to 4:30. Beginning at noon and going through probably the end of the school day, the students will have an opportunity to come through and be face to face with the businesses, and then beginning at 3:45 and ending at 4:30, the event will be open to the general public. So, anybody looking for a job, looking for a great opportunity to come face to face with the businesses in this area that are looking for help, will have the opportunity to come in and take advantage of that opportunity.”
She notes that job seekers should be prepared for interviews. “They should be prepared with either a resume or the information that they would need to fill out an application. Also, look the part. Dress accordingly, dress professionally. They don’t have to wear a 3 piece suit, but they should look nice and they should bring their confidence.“
