(Emmetsburg)– An Emmetsburg man has been charged in connection with a series of burglaries that took place from December, 2006 through February, 2007 in Palo Alto county.

24-year-old Joshua J. Jorgenson of Emmetsburg was charged with six counts of burglary in the third degree and one count of obstruction of justice for allegedly altering or tampering with evidence in the investigation.

The burglary charges are class “D” felonies that carry a five-year prison sentence and the obstruction of justice charge is an aggravated misdemeanor which carries a two-year prison term.
