(Spencer)– A Spencer boy was injured Thursday evening when he was struck by a vehicle while running through a crosswalk.
Spencer police say 40-year-old Bradley Figge of South Sioux City, Nebraska was southbound on Grand Avenue at the intersection with Fourth Street when he collided with 10-year-old Zachary Bailey of Spencer, who police say ran into the side of Figge’s vehicle. Police say witnesses told them Figge had a green light when he went through the intersection.
Bailey sustained a broken leg and was taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital.
The mishap took place shortly before 6:30 p.m.
