(Windom, Mn.)– Blowing snow is making for some issues today (Friday) in portions of southwest Minnesota. Near whiteout conditions are being reported in northern Jackson county and in Cottonwood county.
The Minnesota State Patrol has been investigating several accidents in those areas. Those planning to travel in those areas are being told to exercise extreme caution and allow plenty of extra time to reach their destination.
The National Weather Service says blowing snow will likely continue in those areas through the afternoon.
