A benefit is on tap in Lakefield on Friday, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Betty Hussong Soup and Dessert Luncheon will be held on Friday in Lakefield, Minnesota.
Kozy Heat Marketing Manager Heather Hussong Reasoner says, a number of soups will be offered. “This year it’s going to be a little bit different. The Soup and Pie is going to be at Dudley’s Garage, which is owned by my mother, Tresa Hussong, and it’s going to be a really great, new event this year. We have all different kinds of soups. We’re going to have five different soups. We’re going to have sandwiches and then we’re going to have desserts from Simply Sweet Cheesecake here in Lakefield, and Z Bakery here in Lakefield.”
She notes that proceeds will benefit the Lakefield, Heron Lake and Okabena Food Shelf. “It’s a free will offering. We also would love to get some hats and mittens for the food shelf and we would also like different cans for the food shelf. All the proceeds will go to the Lakefield, Heron Lake and Okabena Food Shelf.”
The Luncheon will run from 11-1 on Friday at Dudley’s Garage. A take out option will be available.
