(Sibley)– Authorities have released the name of a man who died in a house fire Sunday night in Sibley. The victim is identified as 73-year-old Daryl Janssen. Sibley Fire Chief Ken Huls says Janssen was pronounced dead at the scene.
Firefighters from Sibley and Ashton arrived on the scene Sunday night and found the lower portion of the home and a detached garage engulfed in flames.
Huls says an official cause of the fire hasn’t been determined but he says they believe it may have been electrical in nature. The Fire Marshal was on the scene Monday.
Firefighters returned to the location Monday afternoon to extinguish a flare up.
