(Estherville)– A body has been found along a road in rural Emmet county.
The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office says the body of 20-year-old David McDowell of Estherville was found about five miles northeast of Estherville a little after 8:00 am Saturday.
Sheriff Mike Martens says an autopsy was performed Monday by the Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Office and that a cause of death isn’t being released as of now.
Martens says the public is not in any danger and that it’s considered to be an isolated incident. Anyone with information into the matter is asked to contact the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office.
