(Arnolds Park)– The driver of an all-terrain-vehicle was wet and cold but escaped injury Saturday when the four-wheeler he was driving went through the ice at Sawmill Bridge in Arnolds Park.
The operator’s name wasn’t immediately available.
Police took him to a nearby resort he was staying at to get warmed up.
The incident took place around 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
Authorities caution everyone that while ice conditions on the Iowa Great Lakes are excellent for the most part, that there are weak spots…especially under bridges and near seams.
