(Sioux City)– The Buena Vista, Cherokee, Crawford, Ida and Woodbury County Magistrate Nominating Commissions have received nine applications for the District Associate Judge vacancy in District 3. The person that’s selected will fill an upcoming vacancy created by the retirement of Associate Juvenile Judge Mary Timko on November 11th of this year.
Attorneys that have applied include David Dawson and Kristine Timmins, both of Lawton; Ashley Herrig of Greenville; Colin Johnson of Denison; Shannon Leighty of Nevada; Lisa Mazurek of Cherokee; Kristal Phillips of Holstein; and Theresa Rachel and Matthew Winter…both of Sioux City.
Each applicant will have an opportunity to appear before all five commissions for personal interviews today (Friday) at the Ida County Courthouse in Ida Grove.
