It’s the Artisans Road Trip this coming weekend, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The 17th Artisans Road Trip will be held on October 9 & 10.
Participating Artist Haley McAndrews says, more than 30 artists will be featured this year. “The Artisans Road Trip is, free to visitors, open studio and gallery tour that stretches all the way from just over the border in Minnesota all the way down to Storm Lake, where local galleries and local artists who have studios in their homes, we all open up for the weekend and people can just come and go to visit the artists or galleries that they like and be able to meet the artist behind the work. We’re all selling our artwork at our different locations and we’re so excited talk with everybody who comes.”
She notes that a map of the tour may be found online. “We did hit a little bit of a speed bump with 2020, in that all of our brochures were printed. Most of that information is still correct. Some of those locations have changed. We’ve added a couple artists. So, really the most up to date information can be found on the website which is artisansroadtrip.com.“
The Artisans Road Trip will run from 9 to 5 on Saturday and noon to 5 on Sunday.
