(Milford)– Minor damage and no injuries were reported in an apartment fire Sunday evening on the north edge of Milford.
Fire Chief Brian Craig says Milford firefighters were called to River West Apartments around 6:00 p.m. Craig says the fire was contained to one apartment. He says the renter had the fire put out by the time firefighters arrived.
Craig says minor damage was reported to the apartment, and that there were no injuries.
Firefighters were on the scene about an hour ventilating the complex.
Craig says it’s belived the fire was caused by an electrical problem.
Milford firefighters were also called to the scene of a gas leak shortly before midnight near Style Craft. Craig says a malfunctioning valve was to blame. He says firefighters stood by as a precaution while crews repaired it. They were there about an hour.
