Another Reminder Of Upcoming Crop Advantage Series Of Meetings

January 03, 2022 Steve Schwaller

(Spirit Lake)– Another reminder of the Crop Advantage Series of informational meetings for area farmers. Amy Benge of ISU Extension and Outreach for Dickinson county says one of those sessions will be held January 11th at Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center in Okoboji…

“It offers lots of different speakers. Local farmers can come in and learn about different things going on in the farming world.”

Benge says the local session is among 14 being offered across northwest Iowa, with different speakers and information presented at each site…

“Locally there’s also Sheldon, Storm Lake, Webster City, Le Mars and Dennison. So there’s quite a few that are listed all over the state and they can choose from any one of those. The registration opens at 9:30 on the 11th that day and then the meeting adjourns at 4:30. The nice thing about this is they also meet their private pesticide continuing instruction course. That is part of Crop Advantage. So that’s offered as well so they can take care of both of those in one day.”

Certified Crop Adviser continuing education credits will also be available.
