(Spirit Lake)– The deadline to enter projects in this year’s Dickinson County Fair is quickly approaching. That word from Madeline Smith of the Dickinson County ISU Extension and Outreach office…
“4-Her’s, volunteers who help 4-Her’s and FFA’ers: please pay attention. Your fair entries are going to be due online at fair entries by 11:59 PM June 16th. We are absolutely not accepting any late entries this year.”
Smith says there will be no exceptions.
She adds they are also looking for some volunteers to help out with this year’s fair…
“We’re looking for some judges helpers to help write notes so the kids get that really good verbal feedback. We’re looking for helpers July 14th from 12:00 until 4:00 pm in the afternoon at the Dickinson County Fairgrounds. And we’re also looking throughout the fair for people to help us host our static projects to make sure that as we get all those passerbyers through that nothing gets broken or mishandled during the day. We love to be able to have our projects on display but sometimes there’s an unfortunate accident. Somebody brings in food and spills or bumps into a project. We just need to keep an eye on those projects that the kids worked so hard on.”
Anyone who can help out should contact Smith at 336-3488.
The Dickinson county 4-H and FFA Fair will be held July 17th-22nd.
