ITC Midwest To Inspect Electric Transmission Equipment In The Region Using Low Flying Helicopters

(Undated)– Don’t be surprised if you see a low flying helicopter in some parts of the area between June 1st and June 3rd.

Officials with ITC Midwest say they’ll be inspecting their electric transmission lines during those days In Dickinson, Kossuth and Osceola counties as well as in Jackson, Martin, Nobles and Rock counties in Minnesota.

Crews will be inspecting steel structures, wood poles, conductors, insulators and other equipment.

They add the inspection flights are conducted at low altitudes and that there’s no need for alarm if you see a low-flying helicopter near transmission lines between June 1st and June 3rd.

ITC Midwest is headquartered in Cedar Rapids and has a regional operating facility in Lakefield.
