(Arnolds Park)– The Arnolds Park Amusement Park opens for the season this weekend. Marketing Director Paul Plumb says they’re very excited about the prospects for the upcoming season following last year’s challenges…
“You know just as a staff we’re just so excited to get opened back up in a somewhat more normal season, you know, and just give people that opportunity to make those family memories for years to come down here.”
Plumb says they were busy over the off season sprucing things up in the park…
“We’ve got a new swinger that’s being put in place right now. We’re hoping that that’s going to be finished up by Memorial Day weekend. And then, you know, a couple of new vendors down at Queen’s Court, Boardwalk and Topog Coffee Shop down here, and, you know, Ruthven Meats have moved to a different location down near the bumper cars, so you know that, along with the new brick patio near our diner that we used the engraved bricks from the State Pier, the old ones, we put those out there. And, you know, some new paint on some different rides down in the lower park, there. The train and the fish got a paint job so they’re all spiffed up looking nice.”
Plumb adds the outdoor concert series for the season gets underway June 5th with concerts in the Roof Garden beginning June 13th.
