(Spencer)– Authorities are investigating an incident that occurred in the Spencer High School parking lot during a track meet Monday evening.
A statement issued by the school district says a truck drove through the parking lot at a high rate of speed. When an adult told the driver to slow down, they believed they saw a firearm in the vehicle.
School officials say they were immediately notified by the adult and police were immediately contacted.
The statement goes on to say the incident is being investigated by law enforcement, and that the safety of students, families and staff is the Spencer School District’s top priority.
