The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says 37-year-old Heather Kruger of George was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Impala southbound on Highway 60 and 34-year-old Kaila Rasmussen of Sibley was operating a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix and was crossing Highway 60 at 190th Street when the two collided.

Kruger and Rasmussen were taken by ambulance to the Sibley hospital.

Rasmussen was cited for failure to yield, no insurance, no registration and driving while suspended. Kruger was cited for no driver’s license and open container.

The Iowa State Patrol, Sibley Fire Department and a towing company assisted on the scene.

The collision took place shortly before 11:00 am Saturday.
