(Arnolds Park)– Walleye Weekend is now just a little more than a week away. The popular event was canceled last year due to the pandemic. Kylie Zankowski says they’re excited to bring the event back this year, with a lot of prizes and money on the line…
”Of course we have the $39,000 grand prize if you catch one of the tagged fish during the weekend and there is also the extended contest, so if you catch one of those tagged fish in the summer months leading up to the end of August, you win a portion of the registration there as well. But in addition to that we’ve got different categories: heaviest fish, heaviest stringers of fish, and they win rods and reels. Over $3,500 of rods and reels were donated by Fisherman’s Factory Outlet.”
She says thousands of dollars in prizes will also be raffled off during the luncheon on Sunday, May 2nd.
Registration and more information can be found at Okoboji Chamber-dot-com.
