Iowa Lakes Community College Music Department announces first concerts to be performed in new Janice K. Lund Performing Arts Center

The Iowa Lakes Community College Music Department has announced the first two live performances to be held in the Janice K. Lund Performing Arts Center.

Instrumental Music Professor Carol Ayres explains.  “On Sunday, May 2nd, we’re going to have the instrumental part, which are the Handbells and the Jazz Band, and that’s going to start at 5 o’clock.  Then on Monday (May 3rd) are going to be the Choir Concerts.  They will be at 7 pm.  We’ve split the two concerts so that we can keep people socially distant and masks are going to be required.  You need a ticket so that we can give everybody a reserved seat and make sure that the groups of people are socially distanced.”

She adds that instructors and students are excited to perform in the new facility.  “I have waited 30 years to do this, I am just so excited, and it’s such a beautiful facility, I can’t wait for everybody to get in there and see it.  So, we’re so excited that we’re going to get to share this concert with the general public.”

Free tickets may be obtained by calling 712-362-7902
