(Spirit Lake)– No injuries were reported in a house fire Saturday evening in Spirit Lake. Fire Chief Pat Daly says there was a considerable amount of damage…
“We were paged out I think it was a little after 10:00. We got on the scene at 3701 Keokuk and we had smoke showing. We made entry into the structure and found it was in the master bedroom, the fire was. Were the folks home at the time? No, not at the time when we got there. The damage was it burned right through the floor and dropped into the basement.”
Daly says the cause is under investigation. The State Fire Marshal is expected to be on the scene today (Mon.)
The Arnolds Park-Okoboji Fire Department also responded to the scene to assist with manpower. Firefighters were there about two hours.
