(Everly)– An Everly woman has died of injuries sustained in a house fire last week.
The Everly Fire Department was called around 3:20 pm Tuesday to 306 North Ocheyedan. Flames were reported seen coming from the roof at one point, and additional help was called from some nearby departments for mutual assistance.
An occupant of the home, 91-year-old Janice Erick, was taken to Spencer Hospital where she later died.
The fire is being investigated by the State Fire Marshall’s Office.
