(Spirit Lake)– More accolades for a local hospital.
Lakes Regional Healthcare has been named one of the top 20 rural and community hospitals in the country by the National Rural Health Association. It’s based on an evaluation by the Chartis Center for Rural Health. LRH is the only hospital in Iowa and Minnesota to receive the distinction.
Determining factors include inpatient and outpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspectives, costs, charge and financial efficiency.
Lakes Regional Healthcare was recently named a Top 100 Rural and Community Hospital by the Chartis Center For Rural Health, which means LRH is among the top 20 in that top 100 list.
In a statement, hospital President and CEO Jason Harrington says they’re proud of the efforts of physicians and staff who have contributed to LRH achieving the designation.
