(Estherville)– The city of Estherville will collect yard waste on Mondays beginning Monday, April 5th continuing through Monday, May 3rd.
City officials say other things such as household solid waste, landscaping items such as planters or pots and pet waste should not be placed in the yard waste. They say any bags containing such items will be left at the curb. Unacceptable items must be placed in city metered bags instead.
Leaves and yard rakings must be in plain plastic bags securely tied and placed at the curb.
Estherville residents are also reminded it is illegal to burn leaves and yard waste on property that is less than 1.5 acres in size.
