Spirit Lake Traffic Stop Results In Arrests Of Two People On Drug Charges (1)

(Spirit Lake)– A traffic stop Friday at the intersection of 35th Street and Sunner Avenue in Spirit Lake resulted in the arrests of two people.

Spirit Lake police say a subsequent investigation resulted in them discovering one of the vehicle’s occupants, 24-year-old Holden Wilson of Spirit Lake, was wanted on an outstanding warrant out of Clay county for a parole revocation. Officers also discovered a controlled substance in the vehicle. A search warrant on the vehicle was obtained and executed resulting in police finding a large amount of THC, a chemical component of marijuana, along with marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Wilson was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute THC wax and marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, two counts of failure to affix a drug tax stamp, prohibited acts, interference with official acts, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended, operating a non-registered vehicle and failure to provide proof of insurance.

A passenger, 23-year-old Savannah Heithus of Milford, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute THC wax and marijuana; two counts of failure to affix a drug tax stamp, possession of a controlled substance marijuana and open container of alcohol as a passenger.
