Lake Park Man Arrested On Charges Stemming From A Fatal UTV Crash Last Year In Osceola County

March 20, 2021

(Sibley)– Charges have been filed against a Lake Park man in connection with a crash last year of a utility side by side vehicle in Osceola county that claimed the life of a passenger.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says 48-year-old Christopher Bosma of Lake Park was arrested Friday on a felony warrant charging him with vehicular homicide…intoxication, a class “B” felony, and vehicular homicide…reckless driving…a class “C” felony.

Bosma was booked into the Osceola county jail on a $25,000 cash or surety bond.

Investigators say Bosma was operating a 2014 Polaris Ranger eastbound on the Ed Winkel Memorial Trail around 4:15 pm on July 18th, 2020, and was turning north onto Warbler Avenue. A passenger, Kelsie Kae Sturm of Lake Park, was ejected after Bosma allegedly accelerated aggressively.

Sturm was taken by the Ocheyedan ambulance to Osceola Regional Healthcare where she died of her injuries.
